Snow and stuff.

We don't often get snow in this part of the world, so . . when we do. . . well, we try to enjoy it!
Rowan doesn't look too impressed though!

Yesterday, when the snow arrived, our familiar fields and lake were touched by magic. . . .

I hope I will always be this excited to see snow!

Today the sun worked more magic on the landscape.
Rowan and I went for a walk on the hills above Broadway.

Rowan was delighted to make a new friend, Grace. Isn't she gorgeous!
Most dogs love snow and these two had a wonderful time rolling, chasing and playing, up and down the hill

After Grace had gone home we decided to find the 'way through the woods'. . . .

Just so you don't think life's all play, I did go home and finish painting the bathroom. . . .

What a lovely site. I love new snow! Our Jack has a blast when it snows. He loves to run, jump and belly flop into new piles of snow.

Woods covered in snow make me feel as though I should whisper - it is so enchanting, surreal, so pristine and otherworldly - but unfortunately 'cold' comes along with it, and that quickly and harshly brings it all back to reality for me. Very fast. I'll admire it through your beautiful photographs - from my 70 degree world!

Your snowy pictures are beautiful. Our snow has all but disappeared so everywhere looks a bit tatty after all that magic. However, we may get more tonight or tomorrow. Hope I get the shopping done first! Have a gold star for painting the bathroom.

Oh, I enjoyed this so much! Nothing I love better than watching Edward and Apple in the snow. Alas, we've had none so far, but we're hopeful!!

Chris - It's such fun, I've nearly worn Rowan out , playing in the snow!

Isa - Isn't it strange and wonderful, how different we all are? I'm very much a creature of the cooler climate, don't do heat at all. Mind you that's just as well, it's rarely hot in England!
You made me smile, because I always whisper when I'm in the woods!

Linda - my friend Sue, has a Burnese Mountain dog called Tilly. She is amazing!

Hermes - More snow today, same for you in Wiltshire I expect. I think I'll stay indoors and make some soup !

Genie - careful what you wish for! Have you got more snow?x

Heather - thank you for the comment and the gold star!

Pamela - I agree. I love it!(As long as it doesn't last too long!)x

It looks as if Rowan had a blast in the snow! The photos are lovely. The snow covered trees and lake must have been a delight to your eyes.
We don't get snow in my part of the world, which I am grateful for, as I hate to be cold.
Happy day~

Hi Annette,
How wonderfully refreshing to visit your blog with photos of snow! We are currently experiencing temperatures above 40 degrees C (104F) in Adelaide, and have done so for the last two weeks. Some days it has made its way up to 45.5 C(113.9F). So why the weather report you may ask? Well, simply to explain one of the many reasons why I'll happily lie on my stomach in the snow and take photos of more galanthi, should you need me too! Hold me back!

Cheers Woodsprite
